BLUE VEDDER ‘PLEASE (PROCEED)’ PRESS RELEASE, 2022

Up and Coming Melbourne Dream-Gaze outfit Blue Vedder announce lead single Please (Proceed) from highly anticipated debut EP Static.

Fresh off the run of a successful east-coast tour and release of two singles, Naarm/ Melbourne project Blue Vedder have announced the release of their highly anticipated debut EP ‘Static’ with lead single Please (Proceed) hitting shelves on the 15th of July.

Partnered with Meanjin/Brisbane independent label Kitty Records and northern NSW based management Lennox Groove, the single and five track EP will provide the physical form of the groups exciting live show.

The four-piece have made a name for themselves in the Melbourne DIY scene and are beginning to embed their signature sound across the country, developing a cult following while they’re at it; selling out shows in both Melbourne and Wollongong. Blue Vedder are well on track to cement their place in the Australian Industry.

“This record is a refined mix of our live show, complete with features that are yet to be heard outside of the studio” said frontman Seth Hancock. “Our fanbase can expect the fuzz and energy of our live show combined with a superbly balanced studio mix, highlighting our favourite parts of all the tracks.”

Inspired by the sonics of my bloody valentine, Slowdive, Radiohead, DIIV and The Smashing Pumpkins, Blue Vedder have created a contemporary but accessible gateway to the ambient trance of the nostalgic shoegaze landscape. The group are embarking on a new musical venture, using Blue Vedder as a vessel for their dark and secret love of the gritty, emotive genre.

Blue Vedder formed in early 2021 with the aim of reinstating the ever popular 90’s genre, complete with heavy fuzz, delay and copious amounts of reverb, into its former glory, by creating a project to fill the genre’s void in the Melbourne musical landscape. Take a deep dive into the minds of Seth Hancock, Lauren Eddy, Lachlan Birch and Bryce Gardiner, and let yourself drift into the dreamscape that Please (Proceed) provides.

Lead single Please (Proceed) will be released on the 15th of July 2022 across all streaming platforms.
